I’ve been playing the trumpet since I was nine years old.
There’s nothing that I would rather be doing than listening to and playing music. It’s no secret that everything other than music I do is simply to support my music habit.
Music has saved my life on more than one occasion, and I can say with confidence that millions of people feel the same way.
For me, music has always been at the center of my life, even if it’s not the way that I’ve chosen to pay the bills.
“The Commandant’s Own”
During my short stint in the Commandant of the Marine Corps’ personal drum and bugle corps, I learned a lot about the professional marching world. We boast the title of the world’s most professional field band achieved through maximimum marching discipline, and – something I realized in hindsight – played a critical role in recruitment efforts for the U.S. Marine Corps.
Turns out, I was in marketing long before I ever started a company!
I learned Music Production at Berklee.
I had already been honing my music production skills since my time at Penn State, but after I left active duty service in the U.S. Marines, I had a desire to officially finish my Bachelors degree. Since then, I’ve produced a few dozen tracks, and even though they’re not really professionally mixed and mastered I’m still proud of what I’ve been able to accomplish and gain a basic mastery of (it’s not that difficult).
“LoFi Trumpet Guy”
Born out of the COVID pandemic in 2019-2020, I found a way to funnel my need to play with other musicians by joining the world on YouTube. Through my love of the lofi genre, I launched a personal music brand that, well, at least a few people enjoy.
These days, I don the stage name occasionally, as it’s meant to be a background kind of music that helps you feel relaxed.
